Decemeber 9, 2010
My students were very thrilled about having the colorful Christmas worksheet. I learned that relationships with a student is very important because yesterday, I didn't have the same group of kids that I came to every week since they were on a different block schedule. It was just different that I didn;t know the students and it felt empty. Plus, I learned language was very important because some students in that class were not fluent with English. I think it would've been a lot more fun if I had my usual students. My students fell in love with the math coloring worsheets. Who knew 4 graders still loves to color? I guess you never really grow out of anything.

Experience
Last Friday, we entered Terrace Elementary with welcoming donuts that was given be the Junior Achievement Staff. Beforehand, they introduced us to our materials and showed up how to use the manuel and pretty much went over what we did. The first few things in class, we taught them about money read them books that was given to us beforehand. At lunch, we ate pizza that was provided by Junior Achievement. I taught the students about money and helped the students learn what's what. It was overaall an exciting, fun, learning experience.

MeeGenius Library
On this website, you can read books to your students for free. My lesson plan would be to read this book and ask them questions about it to make sure the comprehended the book and was paying attention. Or another way is that I can ask one student to read each page (to test their reading skills) and then ask some questions. These book can be read to them so they can sleep or just as a class activity, therefore, this website would be very useful for a teacher.

Child development
A teacher can impact child development by keeping them active to help build their muscles.A teacher can do an activity in class where they can excercise to help the students stay in shape. They can also help encourage them to build up their self esteem. A teacher can nicely speak to a student to help keep the students happy. A teach can also have games to help students with their memorization and therefor help impact a child' development positively.

My class normally never have problems, until we went to "specials". Our class was mixed upo with a bunch of other students from other classes. Partically, I noticed these two boys that were very disruptive and talkative while sitting next to each other. If the teacher was to "alter the group structure", the class would be less disruptive and it would become a better learning environment. :]

It is important to be child centered to help the kids trust the teacher and look up to them. It would also show teh student that they are important to the teachers and it may help inspire them to be a better student.
Teachers are held to a accountability because they are role models. If the teacher cuss, the students will also, so the teach are held to a higher standard.
You can communicate through e-mails, conferecences, through the students, through organizations, and meetings.
Activeboards and calculators are very important. Also, computers and itouch are both essential to learning because it gives access to the internet and Microsoft because some students may not have it at home.
FUN, FUN, FUN! Yesterday, was by far the most fun day of all days that I went. I went to specials with the children and they gave me silly bands and I hoola hooped with them. We had a hula hooping contest, and of course, I won. Haha, just kidding, I actually lost. I also did a group activity to help them learn how to divide. I already miss them and cannot wait to come back next week.

Yesterday, was a lot more fun. Some students approached and spoke to me. Also, I learned how to laminate things and Mr. Gonzlez asked if I wanted to help tutor or teach a dance class. Of course I said yes. Also, I learned many new ways to mustiply, which was always interesting. :]

This was my second time back from my elementary classes and they transferred me from Kindergarteners to 4th graders. Fourth graders are much more independent than I thought they should be. It makes me sad because I miss my wittle kids and I hope I will switch back to Kindergarten for my second semester.
